Black Sun (formerly known as Eclipse) is one of the multiple maps in-game that heavily resembles a dark and twisted, purely gory red version of Green Hill Zone, its visual origin is from the Vs. Sonic.exe mod for Friday Night Funkin', but the map itself was made for EXE, thus representing his designated Sonic.exe game, Sonic Prototype 2017. This map was released alongside 4 others when the game had first released on April 27th, 2024.

Appearance

Black Sun appears to be a hellish version of Green Hill Zone, it is a floating island connected to 4 smaller floating platforms, below it is a huge pit of lava. The charred body of Tails can be found leaning against a burning wooden pillar and in the middle of one of the small islands. The mangled body of Knuckles can also be found on one of the small islands. Each island has dead palm trees, dead flowers, lots of fauna, dark veins and burning wooden pillars along with huge spiked rocks. A notable landmark is a ledge on the main floating island that allows you to drop down to one of the small islands.

Strategies

Killer

• Black Sun has bridges that connect the islands making it perfect for a trap killer lay traps on them.
• It is a fairly dark map that survivors can easily get lost in.
• If your killer can place any sort of object (Lurking Facade/Thorny Grave), take note of possible "safe zones" or places they can commonly revisit.

Survivors

• The ring locations on Black Sun are rather easy to memorize.
• There are plenty of alternate routes you can go to potentially confuse the killer. Note two cliffs on the upper floor of the map that you can walk off of to make a shortcut through a good portion of the map.

Trivia

• In the Halloween 2024 event, there was 11 pumpkins on the map.
• This map was originally called Eclipse before being renamed to Black Sun
• This map has been removed 3 times. The most out of any map.
