Pillar Drainage System (or sometimes referred to as Sewers) is one of the multiple maps in-game that has a large, wide area with multiple pillars, vaults and buttons around it, containing as well a underneath area that connects to the other 4 sides of the map.
Appearance[]
Pillar Drainage System first starts off with a high-up center having multiple pillars holding up a roof, with some boxes around the map itself, mostly around corners. Below the center there is a cross that leads to the 4 sides of the map. These 4 sides are completely identical with minimal differences, such as thicker ledges to access vaults and more. It has multiple pipes that flow out water onto the floor, which is completely flooded due to it. Interestingly, if all Valves are interacted with, these pipes will stop spewing out water. This however does not change the map in anyway. The map also has a nice touch of rain on it.
Objectives[]
Activate Drain Lights (0/8)[]
In each side of the map, in both corners there will be a deactivated button. When interacting, it flashes one of two colors. Blue or Red. Pressing the button on Blue will complete the task. Pressing it on red will deal a lightning effect dealing 15 damage which can kill you. This objective also appears in The Pillars .
Disable Drain System: (0/4)[]
On each side of the map is a red valve When interacting with it, you need to click, hold, and spin your cursor around to crank the valve a few times. After five cranks the task will be complete. After all four valves are completed, the water in the map will drain a bit revealing the floor a bit more.
Last Man Standing[]
It is unknown what will happen during Last Man Standing on this map yet.
Strategies[]
Monsters[]
- Since you spawn above the rest of the map, it can be very easy to catch survivors off-guard early in the round.
- The smaller size and more open nature of the map allows you to get kills relatively quickly, keeping the timer up.
- Trapper killers should go out of their way to trap the tunnels in the center of the map, as they are a hot spot for survivor travel. Trappers such as EXE , The Stricken and Niloticus can benefit the most from this, and while Baldi and The Forest King can still use it, their traps are easier to avoid.
- Survivors doing tasks, especially valves are prone to surprise attacks such as MX's Charging Demise or WYST's Gobble Bomb's to name a few.
Survivors[]
- The smaller nature of the map can help you learn it quickly, allowing you to move more confidently.
- The map provides many different types of terrain to avoid monsters. Tunnels to juke out chasers like MX or Uncle Samsonite, a lack of enclosed areas to avoid trappers like EXE or Baldi , and wide open spaces to discourage ambushers like The Fogborn or Vita Mimic
- This is one of the brightest maps in the game, meaning you can see quite a fair distance (assuming nothing blocks your vision)
- Once all four valves are turned, the water in the map will lower giving players who completed a task a better look at the ground. This can be useful to see EXE's traps and The Stricken's custards that were usually hidden in the water.
